I will be producing a weekly newsletter.

So, I work in a call centre and read a lot of books. I don’t like pulling out a paperback every time I have a free moment or when I’m put on hold. It wouldn’t look that good in the office. I normally read ebooks, like from the baen free library because they come in html formats.

I downloaded a series of ebooks, but they came in .lit format, and I wasn’t aware of that. Our computers at work are locked so I can’t install the MS Reader application.

So, does anyone know of a site online that I can upload the .lit file to read? Or a reader program that doesn’t require it to be installed?

Also I have a sidekick, so I use the web browser to read the html version of the ebooks. I can upload txt files into html, so does anyone know of a program that could convert the .lit file into .txt? Or at least will allow me to copy and past the chapters from the .lit reader? The one reader I remember using was made so that you can’t copy and past text from the books.

Someone I know wants to know how to transfer ebooks she got from a free site (yes, they are legit and old novels out of copyright). There are no DRM issues either and all the ebooks are without restrictions and in the PRC file format. She got them from manybooks.net . I do not have access to the Kindle but I will have to relay the info to them.

They said they attempted to do so either. They claimed to hook up the device to the PC and to copy/transfer the files to the Kindle. However, they say they cannot find the ebooks on the Kindle after copying them to it.

Is there a special folder to use on the Kindle for PRC ebook files? Is there something you have to set on the Kindle for it to recognize ebooks transfered through the USB connection? Is something I don’t know that is essential. Where exactly should PRC files be copied to on the Kindle.

recently i downloaded several ebooks and however i thought they are pdf but they weren’t.they were LIT.what are LIT files?how can i use the?

hi i’m addicted to gay ebooks from publishers like Torquere Press and Aspen, however i’m POOR and if i can get ebooks from authors like T.A Chase for free online that would be great. are there any share-filess site that i can use. thanks

I want to convert some of my MS Reader ebooks to PDF.

I have quite a few ebooks in the LIT format.
Does anyone know of any such programme please?
